i dont want to live with my mother any more, i am 16 years old, i do not want to wait till 18 i cant! i have spoken with her and she will not sign any papers or let me live with my stepfather, is there any way i could bring this to a family court or can my stepfather and what are the chances i will get to live with him?

I'm not sure about your state, but you should be legally able to decide by the time your 16. However, him being a stepfather and not a biological father may change things. well here is what i have been told since my parents got divorced when i was 4. if my mom got re-married which she did then my stepdad gets half of her custody if they ever got divorced. also you can decide where you want to live when you are 14 in most places. so talk to your step dad and explaine it all to him. maybe he will be willing to help you take the proper actions you need to take.
