i asked a similar question about a couple of weeks ago but i need to no something else.

ok i have a 360 and i want to get live. well i am gunna get the 3 month subscription and i wanted to know if i just buy an ethernet cable can i connect my 360 to my parents modem..and if that works can they still be on the enternet at the same time im on xbox live????

they don't know wat they talkin about.. u can't be online at the same time with a [ non ]wireless internet u have to reset the modem and connect the computer ethernet cable or xbox 360 ethernet cable with ever one u wana play...U MUST DO THIS EACH TIME U GET ON LIVE OR THE INTERNET...so no u can't be online at the same time

dont listen to the guy up top he's dumb anyway yes you can be on ethernet at the same time while playing xbox live just get a ethernet cable for your xbox to plug up to ur modem and BAM you got xbox live

my wireless router is nowhere near my xbox so i just plugged the ethernet from the xbox into my laptop (wireless laptop)and shared the connection enabeling me to get live, the girlfriend could still sit on the internet whilst i was live, everyone's a winner!!

Yes it will work althoug hif youi have a closed NAT sometines it might get slow being the secondary cord
