Live in Ohio, having wedding in Florida?

I live in Ohio. My Uncle and Aunt live in Ponte Vedra Florida .. thats where they got married, on the beach.

It was gorgeous and i've always wanted a beach wedding.

My Grandparents drive to Florida to see them every few months. Take about 8 hours to get there.

We're only having about 60 people at our wedding. Just close family.

Do you think this would work? =)

It will work. In fact, if you go online to theknot.com they have a Florida edition of thier wedding magazine that has info on Ponte Verdra for wedding locations and reception areas. Just make sure you check the weather for what time of year you are planning on getting married (i.e. not a good decision during Hurricane Season) I think it will be great. Good luck and congrats.

YES!! I most certainly think it should work!! Why not? If you are only having close family and you can get there in 8 hours....go for it!!

I'm sure your aunt and uncle will be flattered that you liked theirs so much that you want the same thing! It's not copying....it's flattery!

YES! It will work beautifully. Let your guests know in plenty of time, because they'll need to make travel, hotel, and time off of work arrangements. Don't take it personally if they all can't make the trip, though.
